Artist Shayla Hufana took inspiration from her Seattle upbringing, her Filipino heritage and other aspects of Asian cultures to design the festive jersey.
SEATTLE — The Seattle Kraken are celebrating Lunar New Year with a special jersey that was designed by artist Shayla Hufana, owner of ConceptShell.
Hufana infused hidden meanings into the “S” logo through carefully chosen colors and patterns. The design showcases the Year of the Snake.
To represent her Pacific Northwest roots, Hufana chose a common garter snake, symbolizing adaptability both on land and in water. She wanted it to feel strong and resilient, qualities she sees in the Kraken
