Big changes are ahead for Seattle’s minimum wage in 2025, including a $3 an hour boost for tipped workers.
SEATTLE — The minimum wage in Washington state and several cities, including Seattle, will go up next week as agencies adjust for inflation.
Washington state minimum wage will increase to $16.66 per hour, starting Jan. 1, a 2.35% increase from 2024. The state calculates increases using the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Consumer Price Index for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers.
