This weekend is shaping up to shatter records for heat in Western Washington with temperatures potentially in the triple digits. And instead of baking in the heat — likely in homes and apartments without air conditioning — many city dwellers are looking to the state’s waterways to cool down.
If you do plan on taking a dip to escape the heat, remember that hot air doesn’t mean the water will be warm.
