Hit-and-run driver accused of crashing into elderly woman in Bellevue has not been caught, police say

The footage suggests the driver may not have seen her, according to police.

BELLEVUE, Wash. — The Bellevue Police Department (BPD) is looking for the driver of an SUV involved in a hit-and-run crash that left a 71-year-old woman hospitalized. 

The crash took place on Nov. 6 just after 6 p.m. on the 1600 block of 156th Ave NE. The woman, identified as Shyamali by her coworkers, was struck while crossing the street. According to the BPD, the area was dark, she was not in a crosswalk, and the footage suggests the driver may not have seen her.
