SEATTLE — Hikers on the Pacific Crest Trail will now have to take a detour on their way to Canada. The change goes into effect on Friday.
The Canada Border Services Agency announced that hikers now have to enter the country through a designated port of entry, as opposed to securing a permit to cross the border on the trail.
