Mountains around western Washington are expected to see plenty of snow over Wednesday and Thursday.
SEATTLE — It won’t be a White Christmas for the Puget Sound region immediately surrounding Seattle, but the Cascades will see plenty of snow over Wednesday and Thursday.
Snow levels drop to 3,000 feet, which could make driving and holiday travel across mountain passes difficult. A Winter Storm Watch is in effect for the Cascades from Wednesday at 4 p.m. to Friday at 10 a.m. Places above 3,000 feet of elevation could see 12 inches of snow, and places above 4,000 feet of elevation could see up to 20 to 24
