Here’s how much snow is expected in the Cascades Friday

Snowfall is coming to the mountains with the heaviest amounts expected above 5,000 feet in the North Cascades and near Mount Rainier.

SEATTLE — Snow is coming to the Cascade Mountains on Friday with warnings and advisories in place through the evening.

A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for the west slopes of the North Cascades above 5,000 feet of elevation. Between 8 and 14 inches of snow is possible through Friday at 11 p.m.
