PUYALLUP, Wash. — A person has won over $4 million after getting the jackpot on a Lotto ticket purchased in Pierce County last week, Washington’s Lottery officials confirmed to KING 5.
The lucky player won $4.2 million from the ticket, which was sold at the Safeway on 176th Street East in Puyallup on Sept. 14. The jackpot was earned by matching all 6 numbers, officials say.
The Safeway where the ticket was sold is now in line for a $42,000 selling bonus, officials say.
Officials also confirmed that the winner, who is not identified, claimed their winnings just a few days after the ticket was sold.
