Heat Advisory issued for western Washington over post-Fourth of July weekend

Temperatures are expected to near and even exceed 90 degrees over the weekend in much of the region.

SEATTLE — A Heat Advisory has been issued for much of western Washington beginning Friday afternoon as temperatures should approach and even exceed 90 degrees over the weekend.

The National Weather Service (NWS) said the heat advisory will begin at noon Friday and run through 10 p.m. Monday. The advisory area extends north to the Canada-U.S. border, east to North Bend, south to Chehalis and Randle and west to the Olympic Peninsula.
