Financial bills in the Washington state Legislature faced a Friday committee deadline.
OLYMPIA, Wash. — Dozens of bills that could have impacted the state’s budget died in Olympia Friday.
Fiscal bills had to pass out of committee by Friday to remain in consideration of full passage. But bills considered necessary to implement the budget can come back to life in budget negotiations.
Rep. Kristine Reeves, (D-Federal Way), hopes that’s the case with her bill banning the sale of flavored vape and tobacco products, House Bill 1203.
While the bill did not pass out of the required committee by Friday’s deadline, Reeves said
