After a quiet few weeks in Seattle’s 2021 mayoral primary dominated by fundraising, a new contender threw their hat in the ring on Tuesday morning.
After serving as a city councilmember for 12 years and interim mayor for just five days in 2017, Bruce Harrell announced that he will run for mayor in 2021, ending weeks of speculation that he would launch a campaign.
