First day of autumn: 7 of Seattle's best parks and trails to see fall foliage

After a record-breaking hot summer in Seattle, Wednesday, Sept. 22 marks the first official day of fall.

And while many of the region’s pumpkin patches, corn mazes and U-pick apple orchards have already opened for the season, the region’s natural phenomenon of falling red, orange and yellow foliage is only just beginning.
