The fire heavily damaged a structure behind the supermarket that was used for inventory, including food.
RENTON, Wash. — A fire broke out on the property of Viet-Wah Asian Food Market in Renton after midnight on Wednesday, according to Renton firefighters.
Crews initially responded to reports of an “unknown fire” at the property on the 2800 block of Northeast Sunset Boulevard. One engine arrived and called for backup after finding “heavy fire” coming from the back of the market.
Within about 20 minutes crews had the fire under control.
