Fauntleroy Ferry Terminal reopens after urgent repairs force closure

A hydraulic leak caused the terminal to close for about two hours on Dec. 30.

SEATTLE — The Fauntleroy Ferry Terminal is back in service after being temporarily closed due to a hydraulic leak on Monday afternoon.

The fluid leak at the ferry dock resulted in approximate two-hour closure. Crews were working to prevent the fluid from leaking into Puget Sound. 

Ferry travelers were still be able to take the Vashon Island/Southworth route. Travelers who needed to leave Vashon were able to take the Point Defiance/Tahlequah route.
