TACOMA, Wash. — A lawsuit filed against the Tacoma Police Department alleges officers failed to protect a domestic violence victim who asked for help and was later stabbed to death by her ex-boyfriend.
The father of the victim filed the lawsuit because he said his daughter took all the right steps, requesting a no contact order and contacting police when her ex-boyfriend violated it, but said he doesn’t think police did their part to protect her.
