Families of victims killed in I-5 hit-and-run call driver’s 10-year prison sentence ‘inhumane’

SEATTLE — The 22-year-old man who hit and killed two men on Interstate 5 in Seattle last year was sentenced Friday to 10 years in prison.

Prosecutors said Antonio Lopez fled to Mexico after the February 2023 crash that killed 34-year-old Skyler Thornton and 38-year-old Terrell Aaron. The two victims were cousins.
