UW Medicine is unveiling an FDA-approved spinal cord therapy in an effort to offer new hope for paralyzed patients.
SEATTLE — At Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, an FDA-approved therapy for spinal cord injuries is offering new hope to patients like Jessie Owen.
Owen, who was paralyzed in a tragic accident over a decade ago, has regained some hand mobility thanks to a device called ARC-EX, developed by Onward Therapy. It delivers a continuous electrical current to the damaged area of spinal cord.
