PORT ANGELES, Wash — An earthquake shook residents south of Sequim and beyond on Wednesday afternoon.
The 3.9 magnitude earthquake hit at 4:18 p.m. approximately 19 miles southeast of Port Angeles, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS). It struck approximately 43 miles northwest from Seattle.
The quake was measured at a depth of 25.61 miles, according to USGS data.
