Driver hospitalized after dump truck crashes into Edmonds home

The home was occupied at the time of the crash, police say.

EDMONDS, Wash. — A driver is in the hospital Wednesday morning after an overturned dump truck slid into an occupied Edmonds home, police say.

A home at 75th Place and North Meadowdale Road was impacted, and Edmonds police say the area hit was the carport. Police say no one inside the home at the time was injured.

The truck was fully loaded, and police say “possible brake failure” is being investigated. The driver, a 43-year-old man, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
