Dense Fog Advisory expires in western Washington

Drivers were asked to use their headlights, slow down and leave extra distance between themselves and other cars Monday morning.

SEATTLE — Drivers were asked to take it slow on their morning commute Monday amid a Dense Fog Advisory impacting most of western Washington. 

The advisory expired at 10 a.m. Monday morning. 

The fog was expected to lead to hazardous driving conditions in a large portion of the region. Visibility was at or below a quarter of a mile for much of the Puget Sound area, including Everett, Seattle, Tacoma, Olympia, Port Townsend, Bremerton, Port Orchard and the San Juan Islands – and
