Crane falls on Everett Mall building, injuring two construction workers

Fire officials say one person was taken to the hospital.

EVERETT, Wash. — A crane fell onto a building at the Everett Mall on Thursday morning, fire officials confirmed to KING 5.

An Everett Fire Department spokesperson says the call came in just before 10 a.m. Thursday that a crane had fallen onto a building at 1402 Southeast Everett Mall. The area where the crane fell is currently under construction, fire officials say.

Two construction workers were injured in the incident, and one needed to be taken to the hospital, fire officials say. Another crane was required to get the crane off the building.
