Former Gov. Christine Gregoire and former Attorney General Rob McKenna served Washington from 2005 until 2013. Gregoire is a Democrat and McKenna is a Republican.
In interviews with Cascade PBS, both agreed that their differences may have helped them during their time in office.
“We didn’t always agree on things, but at the end of the day we always respected each other and our respective offices and the roles that we played, and so we had a very good working relationship,” Gregoire said.
