Community comes together to save crow stuck in tree at Tacoma’s Point Defiance Park

The bird is now recovering from injuries to its wing and leg, but rehabilitation staff hope to release it back into the park once it has healed.

TACOMA, Wash. — Several community members gathered to rescue a crow trapped in a tree on Sunday.

The rescue mission started at Tacoma’s Point Defiance Park, where someone found it hanging upside down in a tree. Its leg was stuck in fishing line.

Several people at Owen Beach worked together to free it. They used a tree limb cutter to get its leg out of the wire, then slowly put it back on the ground.
