PORT ORCHARD, Wash. — A powerful winter storm brought heavy snow, power outages and downed trees to the Kitsap Peninsula this week, leaving residents and businesses scrambling to adapt.

Among those impacted was Lighthouse Espresso, a roadside coffee stand that lost power overnight. Barista Ashley Plummer arrived early Wednesday morning to find the shop’s generator out of fuel. Undeterred, she turned to the business’s loyal customer base for help.
