WSDOT reported that collisions are happening across the area due to built-up snow on the roadways and black ice.
SEATTLE — Collisions were reported across King and Snohomish counties early Thursday morning as drivers attempted to navigate built-up snow and black ice on the roads.
Snow showers are mainly concentrated in a band across Bremerton, Seattle and north to Everett, which is where drivers are having the most difficulty on the roads.
The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) has also reported cars sliding and becoming stuck on the roads. Conditions are particularly snowy and slick on state Route 522.
