RENTON, Wash. — Recent theft is impacting the “Clam Lights” display at Renton’s Gene Coulon Memorial Beach Park.

On Dec. 10, an officer responded to the park for a report of a theft. A city employee reported someone stolen at least $30,000 worth of electrical wiring that powers the display.

According to police, the theft occurred sometime between 11 p.m. on Dec. 8 and around 2 p.m. on Dec. 9. There is no suspect information at this time and people with information are asked to call police.
