The City of Tacoma announced on Sept. 24 that glass would stop being recycled. It said the company that processes their glass can no longer do so, due to low demand.
TACOMA, Wash. — The city of Tacoma is no longer recycling glass, at least for now. The change happened more than three weeks ago.
The city posted online on Sept. 24 informing residents of the immediate change. Glass dropped off at their glass recycling locations will go to the landfill, according to the city.
