Skiers are snowboarders are in for a treat of fresh snow this weekend, although the storm could snarl pass travel.
SEATTLE — The Cascade Mountains are in for a dumping of snow this weekend with a Winter Storm Warning in effect.
Between 12 and 18 inches of snow are expected in the north and central Cascades above 2,000 feet of elevation, according to the National Weather Service. The southern Cascades are expected to have slightly higher totals with 2 to 4 feet of snow possible above 4,500 feet.
The Winter Storm Warning is in effect from Saturday at 5 a.m. to Sunday at 11
