Bystander injured in shooting at Seattle’s Hing Hay Park

The woman who was injured was not the intended target, SPD said.

SEATTLE — A woman was injured in a shooting at Seattle’s Hing Hay Park on Sunday night, according to the Seattle Police Department. 

SPD received a call at around 10:17 p.m. that there had been a shooting at the park at 423 Maynard Avenue South. When officers arrived they located a woman in her 50s with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. She was taken to Harborview Medical Center in serious, but stable condition, with non-life-threatening injuries.
