PORT TOWNSEND, Wash — Local business owners are concerned about the potential fallout from the sudden shutdown of a major tourism driver on the Olympic peninsula.

Historic rental homes at Fort Worden State Park closed without warning in mid-January, impacting hundreds of families and leaving organizations across Port Townsend in a precarious position.
