Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg acknowledged the company has made “serious missteps” in the past, in testimony viewed by CNBC.
WASHINGTON D.C., DC — Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg testified in front of the Senate Commerce Committee Wednesday morning to talk about how Boeing is addressing “safety issues” and “product deficiencies” that played a role in a series of aviation disasters over the last several years.
The airplane manufacturer has struggled to come out from under the shadow of two fatal 737 Max 8 crashes in 2019 and a door plug blowout aboard a 737 Max 9 jet that was 16,000 feet in the air in January 2024.
