The winner of the governor’s race will replace Gov. Jay Inslee for the next four years.
OLYMPIA, Wash. — Democrat Bob Ferguson is projected to be Washington state’s next governor.
Ferguson led Republican Dave Reichert with 56% of the vote following an initial round of election returns Nov. 5. Reichert trails with 43%.
Ferguson would replace three-term Gov. Jay Inslee next year.
Counties will release additional results in the days after the election as more ballots are counted. Additional results are typically released daily.
