Bellingham’s oldest craft brewery announces closure

Customers still have nearly one year to enjoy the food and award-winning ales before it closes.

BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Boundary Bay Brewery in Bellingham, the city’s first craft brewery, will close next year. 

The owners announced the closure on social media Friday afternoon. Visitors will still have some time to enjoy the establishment as it is expected to officially close in September 2025.

Boundary Bay Brewery opened in downtown Bellingham in 1995 and many people loved the family-friendly open-air taproom and award-winning beers. It is one of the several breweries in Bellingham that earned the city its nickname “Brewingham.”
