The Northwest Avalanche Center said avalanches large enough to kill are “very likely” at all elevations of the western slopes of the Cascades.
SEATTLE — An Avalanche Warning has been issued for across the Cascades and the higher elevations in the Olympics on Thursday as an atmospheric river brings heavy snow and strong winds to the region.
Conditions in the mountains worsened after more than a foot of snow fell Wednesday night, according to the Northwest Avalanche Center.
