Kent officers attempted to arrest a 51-year-old man on Tuesday and a “chain of events” led to his presumed death, police say.
AUBURN, Wash. — A 51-year-old Kent man is presumed dead after fleeing from police to his Auburn workplace, where a fire broke out on Tuesday.
The Kent Police Department (KPD) said officers attempted to arrest the man for an armed domestic violence assault around 8 a.m. at a Kent apartment.
As police responded to the apartment, the man fled in a black truck and eluded officers when they tried to pull him over.
