The 13-year-old died Wednesday after crashing into a tree while snowboarding at Mt. Bachelor Ski Resort, officials said.
DESCHUTES COUNTY, Ore. — A 13-year-old boy from Anacortes died after crashing into a tree while snowboarding at Mt. Bachelor Ski Resort, according to the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to the slopes around 11 a.m. Wednesday when the boy was reported missing. Ski patrol found the boy unresponsive in an area of trees near the resort’s Sunrise chairlift.
