All lanes of SR 9 blocked due to deadly crash in Lake Stevens

LAKE STEVENS, Wash. — All lanes of State Route 9 (SR9) are blocked in Lake Stevens Tuesday after a deadly head-on crash.

The two-car crash was reported about 9:30 a.m. on SR 9 at Market Place.

Snohomish Regional Fire and Rescue said the crash was fatal, although first responders have not said how many people were involved.

All lanes are blocked between 20th Street Southeast and Market Place. Drivers are asked to take alternate routes and expect delays in the area.

The road closure is expected to be extended, and a reopening time is undetermined, according to first responders at the scene.
