Owl attacks are rare, but Snohomish County is raising awareness about recent incidents in Everett.
EVERETT, Wash. — Officials in Snohomish County are raising awareness about recent reports of an “aggressive” owl that is “dive bombing” people at an Everett park.
In a release posted Friday, the county says McCollum Park has seen recent owl attacks and signs have been posted to warn visitors.
The Snohomish County release included information about owls from the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW), which indicates that territorial owl behavior is not uncommon in the state and around North America.
