911 caller saves contractor from Bellevue house fire

A neighbor called 911 after spotting the smoke and driving around to search for what was on fire, officials say.

BELLEVUE, Wash. — No one was injured when a Bellevue house caught fire on Thursday afternoon. Flames erupted from the roof as smoke billowed from the attic, where the fire is believed to have started, according to the Bellevue Fire Department.

A person at a nearby apartment complex saw the smoke around 3:45 p.m. on Thursday and reported the fire in the 5000 block of 165th Place Southeast in Bellevue.
