As remote work requirements turn to long-term options, and office buildings across the county reconsider their leases, a new report by WalletHub found some people opted for a more laid-back way of life in 2020 by relocating to beach states. According to the report, these states included Florida, Maine and North Carolina — all of which also fall in the top 10 states with the most coastline.
WalletHub noted in its examination that beachside communities are often relaxed and present a luxury-living look. While that may be true, several beach towns — on both oceans and lakes — are actually quite affordable and well-suited to everyday living.
