The Washington State Patrol has not yet determined if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the deadly collision.
Authorities are investigating after three people were killed and another was injured in a wrong-way collision on Interstate 5 near the Scatter Creek rest area Sunday morning.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at 5:30 a.m. on northbound I-5 near Scatter Creek. One vehicle struck another while driving the wrong way. A third vehicle came upon the initial collision and could not avoid hitting the two vehicles in time.
