23-year-old woman charged with vehicular homicide in SR 512 crash

The driver’s preliminary breath test registered as .097 approximately four hours after the collision, according to court documents.

The driver involved in a wrong-way crash that killed two soldiers in Pierce County on Sunday has been charged with vehicular homicide.

Candy Soita, 23, is facing two counts of vehicular homicide and one count of vehicular assault.

According to court documents, Soita was driving the wrong way on SR 512 at 2 a.m. on June 2 when she collided with another vehicle head-on near E Canyon Rd.
