2 shot, 1 grazed by car in downtown Tacoma

A suspect is in custody, according to Tacoma police.

TACOMA, Wash. — Police are investigating after two people were shot and a third was grazed by a car early Wednesday morning. 

One person has been arrested. 

The shooting took place just after 1 a.m. along Pacific Avenue between South 8th and South 9th streets. Several cars parked along the street were damaged by bullets. 

Police do not know the exact connection between the shooting suspects and the victims. The suspect was booked into the Pierce County Jail for a weapons violation. 

All three victims either took themselves or were driven
