2 firefighters injured while battling house fires in Everett

The homes are along East Heather Way, just east of Interstate 5.

EVERETT, Wash. — Two firefighters were injured Thursday afternoon while crews worked to extinguish two house fires in Everett’s Valley View neighborhood.

The injuries are non-life-threatening, according to the Evertt Fire Department. Initial reports indicated there were no injuries. One firefighter suffered a hand injury and was taken to a nearby hospital, while another was evaluated and cleared on the scene.

The fire broke out just after 12 p.m. Thursday and crews had the house fires under control by approximately 2 p.m. When they got to the scene on East Heather Way
