The Seattle Police Department (SPD) said detectives arrested the teenager Monday, one day after the deadly shooting. He was booked into the Judge Patricia H. Clark Children & Family Justice Center, King County’s youth detention facility, for investigation of murder, police said.
According to the SPD, officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 3600 block of 34th Avenue South just after 2 a.m. Sunday. Arriving officers reportedly found a 22-year-old man with a gunshot wound in the stairwell of a building.
Police said the victim was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries.
