13-year-old Jayda Woods-Johnson’s mother speaks out after tragic Alderwood Mall shooting

Jayda Woods-Johnson was at the Alderwood Mall when a fight broke out between two groups of people. The 13-year-old was shot and killed by a stray bullet.

SEATTLE — Not even a week after Jayda Woods-Johnson’s death, the 13-year-old’s mother spoke out, calling for justice for her daughter.

“She was a star – she really was,” Tabitha Johnson said. “If she knew I was on the news right now, she’d say, ‘Pop off, queen!'”
