Witnesses reported seeing a group of young boys running away from the scene at Turnkey Park after the shooting.
KENT, Wash. — A 13-year-old boy was shot and killed at a park in Kent Tuesday night.
According to the Kent Police Department, the shooting happened at Turnkey Park on 100th Avenue Southeast just after 9 p.m. The boy was shot in the abdomen then taken to a nearby apartment complex. Police then received 911 calls and responded to the apartment, where they tried to provide life-saving aid, but the boy died at the scene.
