King County Fire District 2 and Puget Sound Fire responded to a house fire in the 12400 block of 13th Place SW just after 6 a.m. Firefighters extinguished the fire after 9 a.m. Puget Sound Fire said in a post on X that firefighters found one person dead in the home.
According to Puget Sound Fire, firefighters struggled to get inside the home because the roof partially collapsed and how much storage was inside.
Investigators are looking into the cause of the fire.
