Eli Roth‘s The Horror Section has acquired “Jimmy and Stiggs,” marking the horror company’s first major deal since launching earlier this month, Variety can exclusively report.
Directed and written by Joe Begos, “Jimmy and Stiggs” follows a down-on-his-luck filmmaker (Begos) who claims he was abducted by aliens, vowing to bring them down alongside his friend (Matt Mercer). The film originally played at Beyond Fest and the Sitges Film Festival, and is now set for wide theatrical release on August 15 through Iconic Events under The Horror Section banner.
