‘Desperate Housewives’ Reboot Would Likely Be Set in ‘Earlier Decade’ Such as 1966, Says Creator: ‘The Character I Miss Writing the Most Is Actually Wisteria Lane’

Desperate Housewives” creator Marc Cherry is open to exploring a different era of Wisteria Lane.

In a recent interview with People magazine, Cherry pitched his idea for a prequel to the hit ABC series starring Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman, Marcia Cross and Eva Longoria.

“I would probably want to do the idea maybe in an earlier decade,” Cherry told the publication. “Because the character I miss writing the most is actually Wisteria Lane. That was the most fun playground anyone in the history of television has ever had, because we owned the whole street.
